My Logo - 2

Here comes another one.



This has rounded edges for the main element which shows k (lower case) in a fancy way.
The leg and arm of k is tilted as if to hold globe in it.
It also has 'c' written inside which goes along with rescent
so the word becomes 'k-rescent' or 'crescent'. I have always longed for a company with name crescent and also thought of registering it. But so many companies out there has booked the name.
I have tried to capture and depict the elegance and and charm of a crescent moon as if it happened rescently only.

Meanwhile I was trying to look around web for inspiration and I came across this site.>>

My Logo - 1

I have been trying on this since last few years.
Making a logo of my own. Which can depict my personality traits and attitude and skills.

All has been done on paper. So many scribbles and doodles and every time I come up with new idea and the old one stays on paper.

So today before this idea goes off, I quickly implemented it.


Well the logo goes along with Web 2.0 standards ;-)
Typographical elements and principles were used to arrive at this one.
If you see the stem of K is quite thick which means steadiness.
The leg is stretched outside to acquire more strength and if you see carefully, K looks as if it's standing tall.
The orange color gives vigor to logo and the shiny tint gives it advanced professional touch.

Hmmm so lot explained.
Well I have many of them in my mind and on paper. Will be putting up all of them soon.

Advertisment in Times of India

I remember one of my professors telling his initial experiences about design in India.
He had a project of designing an advertisement for a termite removal liquid. And what he did was to create blank space and add a very small patch of that liquid and a dead termite on the border. It was looking quite blank. So in the midst of all letters there appeared a big white patch.
The advertisement was making a statement.
But any ideas what the client said?
"Why should i pay for this big blank space in newspaper? You have done nothing"
So was the design perception in olden days with common man.
And now see.
This advertisement has appeared on the front page of Times of India Ahmedabad edition.
Lot of blank space. Can you imagine the amount that one has spent in securing space on the front page of a leading newspaper and keeping it blank. Nobody questioned this. Why?

Well that's where the time is changing.
The ad tells you nothing but has immense information hidden in it to arouse curiosity in you and wait for what's all about this. and you wait for it to come. That's the bang of designing. Read the small line at the bottom. And it says everything. Let's wait what's next in the sequel, till tommorow.

Rain

It's started raining in Ahmedabad.
After a month long penance of burning in scorching heat Ahmedabad got those heavenly drops at last. And it was amazing. though it was a sort of drizzle it rained continuously at an interval of say 5 mins.
And I was having an excellent time with my best friends roaming around the outskirts of Ahmedabad. I went to a pilgrimage called "Mahudi" 70 kms from Ahmedabad with my friends. And the climate made it an awesome trip never to forget.
At the end we went to see "Jhoom barabar Jhoom" and we were all zooming in and out after watching that movie. Seemed like an Indian pop album and we paid good bucks just for listening this crap movie (oooppps album). Damn me.
Anyways keeping aside this bitter experience we enjoyed the music and dance numbers (still consoling myself).
And now I'm back to work.

Apple Safari for Windows!!

So now Apple Safari browser is developed for Windows platform too.

And they say that this browser is far better that other in market mainly IE7, Firefox, Opera.

And they have put nice infographics for comparison.

Google designed by Yahoo

While surfing through the search results of "Yahoo" on Google search I came across this article .
And the guy has shown Google home page very interestingly.
