Continuation to my previous post

"Tata Nano"

So after a long wait Tatas have come up with a new car that an average Indian can afford. Or must I say going to bring revolution in automobile industry. But soon after it's release some people from all over the world have started criticizing the new innovation necessary for India.

This article says it a lot.Treehugger

Yes safety and environmental standards are put at stake in bringing down the cost. But this is how it'll start and keep on improving (Japanese Kaizen). We need to welcome such innovations.
Especially in India it's of very much importance.

Note : do read the comments at the end of the article Treehugger

As Ratan Tata pointed out very well, India will have to grow in infrastructure one day. You can't criticize car makers because there is no space on the road! This would rather expedite the process of road widening and improvement of infrastructure in India.

with all the due applauds to the innovation...the concern is congestion...auto rickshaws and 30% of two wheelrs wud soon be replaced by nanos...where would u park it?in india people dont realise that parking has a price..it cant be free...on more lighter note, with all those nanos filling up the roads, where would the cows, dogs and goats go?
